How do you get the Engineering for Complex Millwork Shop drawings done? In-house or do you use an outside source?
A
good Millwork Drafting Company can typically provide Custom Millwork
Drawings that are based on Industry standards and Practices. One good
Practice is putting your Drafting Company in Direct contact with your
projects Architect and Engineer! In this case this Millwork Reception Desk at the United Nations Plaza in New york needed to carry up to 1000 lbs of steel art sculpture on the face of the desk as well as a 3/4" thick Terrazzo on the Counter tops and Vertical faces. If that was not enough they also have to have a sliding Terrazzo door that will weigh over 150 lbs. We are using rosboro 1" structural grade i plywood ribs @16" o.c. from
www.rosboro.com rosboro mdo struc i, bcx, class i plywood , as well as t141214 4-1/2"x4-1/2"x1/4" steel square tube embedded in the concrete floor to receive 4"x4"x1/4" artwork steel piers.
and to slid the terrazzo door stainless steel vrsd4-6100 v-guide rail w/v-guide wheel roller bearings
vrsd4/ vwss4 / vba4 from http://www.pbclinear.com/v-guide-wheel-roller-bearings
